Welcome to Sandymount Pet Hospital!

We are a dedicated small animal veterinary clinic located in the heart of Sandymount village. We have professional and friendly staff, with modern facilities, allowing us to cater to all the veterinary needs of your pet.

Richard Lavelle MVB MRCVS, a local veterinarian, opened the practice in September 1999. Since then he has built up a busy clinic with three full-time veterinarians, as well as five nurses and support staff.

The clinic offers comprehensive medical and surgical services provided by our dedicated staff for all domestic pets. We also stock a range of premium pet food and prescription diets. For more information please see our services, dental and weight clinic pages.

The clinic reception is open for enquiries, food and repeat prescriptions between 9.30am and 7.30pm on week days. For your convenience please phone in advance before collecting repeat medication for your pet. We offer three consultation blocks during the day from Monday to Friday and we are open between 10.00 am and 12.30pm on Saturdays.

When your pet has a surgical appointment please bring them in between 9.00am and 10.00am that morning. Remember that dogs and cats undergoing sedation or anaesthesia should be fasted for 12 hours prior to being dropped into the clinic.
